Bookkeeper / Payroll Administrator - Part Time - Permanent
Our client is a well-established, forward-thinking chartered accountancy practice with offices across Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bookkeeper / Payroll Administrator to join their Grimsby team.

Purpose of the Bookkeeper / Payroll Administrator Role:

The main purpose of this role is to give excellent bookkeeping and payroll support to a variety of clients of different sizes from different industries.


Bookkeeper / Payroll Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Sales, purchase and nominal ledger maintenance/processing
  • Bank reconciliations
  • VAT return preparation
  • Dealing with client queries
  • Advising clients on the use of accounting software
  • Preparing reports for clients
  • Responsible for the end to end payroll process
  • Processing weekly and monthly payroll
  • Providing support to the wider team where required
  • Processing starters & leavers
  • Handling P11D & P60 queries
  • Processing maternity, paternity pay, sickness & absences
  • Responsible for inputting and end dating salary sacrifices and salary deductions
  • Processing BACS payments and expenses
  • Ensuring all payments are made in accordance with site rules
  • Adhering to the Data Protection Act and site policies and procedures
  • Pensions administration

The Perfect Bookkeeper / Payroll Administrator will be:

  • Experienced in a similar role
  • Customer service experienced with the ability to develop strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work towards strict deadlines
  • Organised, friendly, reliable, have great communication skills and a willingness to learn are essential
