The Role:


As an integral part of the business, your role will manage the bids, tenders and sales coordination of the business, as part of the sales team.


Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the General Sales Manager to establish the best commercial and technical offer to meet clients' needs
  • Prepare quotations and process orders
  • Maintain CRM data accurately and promptly
  • Ensure that business systems and tools, including SAP, are used effectively and in line with business requirements (training provided on SAP)
  • Prepare quotations, assimilation of costs, technical compliance, assessment of margins to ensure the submission of the best commercial and technical bid to win the order
  • Carry out negotiations with clients to assess their needs, tailoring all bids and tenders to suit customer demand
  • Ensure that sales orders are entered in line with agreed procedure and that supplier sub orders reflect the project technical and delivery schedule requirements
  • Provide sales support for other colleagues in the team and advise on best practice and protocol once trained
  • Ensure all sales related documentation and communications are filed in line with agreed practices and in accordance with ISO approved quality system requirements
  • Liaise with and service clients in order to follow up and secure bids as required
  • Troubleshoot / problem solve issues, escalating any urgent issues immediately to management
  • Collate and produce regular reports as required

Person Specification
Previous experience of working bids, tenders, sales, sales administration or engineering is essential. Training will be provided.

  • Engineering background ideally mechanical or automation
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Proven track record of working to tight deadlines
  • Computer literate ideally experience with SAP or similar inhouse ordering system
