**The Role**:
As an integral part of the business, your role will manage the bids, tenders and sales coordination of the business, as part of the sales team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working closely with the General Sales Manager to establish the best commercial and technical offer to meet clients' needs
- Prepare quotations and process orders
- Maintain CRM data accurately and promptly
- Ensure that business systems and tools, including SAP, are used effectively and in line with business requirements (training provided on SAP)
- Prepare quotations, assimilation of costs, technical compliance, assessment of margins - to ensure the submission of the best commercial and technical bid to win the order
- Carry out negotiations with clients to assess their needs, tailoring all bids and tenders to suit customer demand
- Ensure that sales orders are entered in line with agreed procedure and that supplier sub orders reflect the project technical and delivery schedule requirements
- Provide sales support for other colleagues in the team and advise on best practice and protocol - once trained
- Ensure all sales related documentation and communications are filed in line with agreed practices and in accordance with ISO approved quality system requirements
- Liaise with and service clients in order to follow up and secure bids as required
- Troubleshoot / problem solve issues, escalating any urgent issues immediately to management
- Collate and produce regular reports as required

**Person Specification**
Previous experience of working bids, tenders, sales, sales administration or engineering is essential. Training will be provided.
- Engineering background - ideally mechanical or automation
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written
- Proven track record of working to tight deadlines
- Computer literate - ideally experience with SAP or similar in-house ordering system
