Partnerships publish food & drink, lifestyle, wellbeing, business, and heritage titles across the imprints and is the home of brand publishing from huge household names Heinz and The Royal Albert Hall, to Able & Cole and Gail's Artisan Bakery to exciting new brands like The Alchemist Cocktail Bars, Giggling Squid Restaurants and modern Greek food from The Athenian.


The opportunity
We're looking for a creative and highly organised Publishing Assistant to join our friendly, close-knit team. You will be working closely with various teams across the business, including Marketing, Publicity, Sales, Rights and Production. You will also be liaising with external stakeholders such as authors, designers, photographers, and illustrators.

Whilst the role involves plenty of administrative duties, you will be responsible for a wide range of editorial duties, too.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing diaries, organising meetings, and keeping minutes
  • Overseeing our publishing critical path
  • Updating our internal publishing system (Biblio) and processing invoices through Basware
  • Proofreading, checking proofs, and writing copy
  • Researching trends and talent and presenting your findings back to the team
  • Arranging and booking studios and freelance teams
  • Dealing with reader enquiries
  • Managing author reprint corrections
  • Supporting the busy team of commissioners and editors with a variety of ad hoc tasks.

What you'll bring


To thrive in this role you need to be excellent at multi-tasking and a creative problem-solver, to help our team run as efficiently as possible.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills are essential.

We work remotely from home, and in our Pimlico-based offices, so you'll need to be comfortable and proactive in your communication with a wide range of people via Teams, Zoom, phone and in-person and be confident with forming and sustaining working relationships.


It is a very exciting time to be joining the new Partnership publishing team, everyone on our team is an ideas scout, including the Partnerships Assistant.

How to apply

What you can expect from us:

Salary:
You'll start on £26,500.

Expect a £1,000 increase on your first anniversary in this role and a further £1,000 on your second to reflect your growing contribution.
