JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title:
Music Department Administrator
Reports to:

Key Contacts and Relationships:
Peripatetic Music Teachers, Director of Music, Students, parents, exam boards
Key Accountabilities:
Assist in the day-to-day administration of the department
Filing/maintaining the Music Library
Purchasing/maintenance of instruments & other departmental equipment
Calendar booking/liaison
Room booking/facilities booking
Instrumental examination admin for all boards e.g. - ABRSM, MTB, TRINITY
Ensuring that the department is stocked with resources (papers/cups/water etc)
General Departmental filing
Send news updates to the marketing team, as well as input with the department's social media pages.
Ensuring that instrumental registers are accurately maintained, and that all forms used by peris are available for them to use e.g.
Providing support with concert preparation and during concerts as required, including typesetting programmes/fliers/online media
Updating noticeboards with music information as required
Assisting with the completion/update of peripatetic instrumental reports
Update of audio resources
Keeping rooms orderly
Be present at performances to assist with programmes, seating, people movement, photos, etc.
Assisting with setting up and putting away after ensemble rehearsals
Hours of work and salary:
16 hours on average weekly to be agreed with the Director of Music - which may include presence at evening concerts
Hourly rate starts at £10.35 per hour, rising to £10.87 in two years.
