Housing Officer

  • Ensure provision of high-level housing services for customers in Kings Lynn and surrounding areas, delivering excellent service consistently.
  • Engage with customers, offer opportunities for neighborhood involvement, and aim to positively impact people and communities' quality of life.
  • Lead, manage, and review incidents of anti-social behavior, hate crimes, and hoarding while collaborating with specialized teams across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and manage potential safeguarding issues concerning domestic abuse victims, both adults and children, in collaboration with relevant agencies.
  • Manage all tenancies according to policies and procedures, conduct new tenant visits, and take necessary actions for tenancy breaches, including legal procedures.
  • Support local initiatives to create social value, promote community cohesion, and assist customers in developing skills for training, education, and employment.


Requirements:

Successful candidates should possess a solid understanding of Housing Law, experience in handling anti-social behavior cases, and familiarity with legal processes and legislation. Previous experience in preparing legal documentation, engaging with legal professionals, and attending court hearings is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft packages.
