We collaborate closely with individuals struggling with self-harm, involving their support networks as well. By comprehending the motivations behind self-harm, we explore coping mechanisms and foster self-esteem.

As a volunteer, you will assist our team in managing an online web chat service dedicated to supporting individuals who self-harm. Your role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of the chat platform and providing a comforting presence for individuals navigating their self-harm experiences. The chat service operates from 6pm to 10pm, seven days a week.

Previous experience is not a prerequisite for volunteering; all that is needed is a positive mindset and a commitment to promoting mental health and well-being among individuals who self-harm.

We are especially interested in volunteers with personal experience in self-harm, who can share their journey of recovery and offer hope as a role model.

As a mental health charity, the well-being of our team members is of utmost importance to us. Rest assured, you will be part of a welcoming team that provides a supportive atmosphere to help you thrive in your role, along with comprehensive training to ensure you feel prepared and confident.
