Key Responsibilities:
Lead external communications within the children's PR and marketing team.
Collaborate with global marketing, social, brand, and creative teams.
Support the team assistant and share knowledge on a range of titles.
Create and execute integrated publicity campaigns.
Maintain strong children's media relations and knowledge of digital/social media.
Build relationships with journalists, librarians, retailers, and literary gatekeepers.
Secure sales-driving media coverage.
Maintain and update publicity media databases and campaign documents.
Provide exemplary author and agent care.
Write impactful press releases and promotional copy.
Handle PR enquiries and organise events.
Coordinate review mailings and process invoices/expenses.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
Proven experience in generating standout PR coverage and events, preferably in trade publishing.
Strong PR knowledge and established media connections.
Enthusiastic about innovative book promotion strategies.
Excellent organisational, communication, and people skills.
Ability to analyse campaign effectiveness and work under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and team-oriented.
