Publicity Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Publicity Manager to join our team at Wise May Ltd. As a key member of our publishing business, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with journalists, librarians, retailers, festival programmers, and key literary gatekeepers to secure feature and review coverage for our children's books.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain extensive media relations and knowledge of the wider media landscape, across digital and social media
  • Develop and execute creative publicity campaigns to promote our books
  • Collaborate with marketing, brand, and social teams to create fully integrated campaigns
  • Provide excellent author and agent care, with regular and prompt communications
  • Maintain up-to-date and detailed documents for own campaigns
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of generating eye-catching PR coverage and events, ideally at a trade publishing house
  • Detailed working knowledge of PR and strong, established media connections
  • Motivated to develop own understanding of the media and the wider children's book market
  • Enthusiasm to find new and innovative ways to promote our books
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, ability to prioritise busy workload
