About the role:
International Cybersecurity Programme Delivery Lead


With strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills you will be leading teams and programmes of work comprising professional services and occasional technical deliveries.

You will be good at seeing 'the big picture' gaining full value from usingsecurity data, monitoring tools and threat intelligence to re-enforce your insights.

The role will be working with international government clients, primarily in their national security strategy and security operations functions. This may involve working inclassified environments.

What you will be doing as an International Cybersecurity Programme Delivery Lead

  • With a strong understanding of security management, organisational structure and operations, you will identify and pull in appropriate skills to oversee delivery.
  • Using your team leadership skills, for directing both senior and junior team members while supporting their development.
  • Project management and complex stakeholder management.
  • Accountable for the delivery of identified scope to time and budget, drawing on appropriate resources from within the consultancy.
  • Support sovereign capacity development of other nations in the areas of people, process and technology
  • Establish and build relationships with stakeholders, including clients, beneficiaries and other funding nations. Donor coordination is a potential aspect of this.
  • Managing the allocation of work between delivery partners and the assurance of their delivery in line with contractual and client expectations.
  • Plan and deliver customer briefings and build consensus.
  • Formulate strategy for improvements to security operations, skills, policies and governance, and communicate in business language to a range of stakeholders.
  • Shaping and reporting on results and evaluation.
  • Work with other teams across our business to improve services on the basis of customer needs.

What experience are we looking for?

  • Strong communications skills to drive projects and conduct complex stakeholder management simultaneously at multiple levels.
  • Team leadership skills, providing direction for both senior and junior consultant team members while supporting their development.
  • Excellent writing skills, concise documentation of results, evaluations and reports
  • High degree of interpersonal skills and cultural awareness, necessary to establish and build relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong and credible background with cybersecurity delivery across the range of people, process, technology and organisational improvements.
  • Client side consulting, including complex stakeholder engagement including clients, beneficiaries and delivery partners
  • Ability to communicate insights and concepts to others (including briefing skills and report writing).
  • Coaching mindset: the role is not to do the job for the customers, but to mentor them to do it themselves.
  • Able to understand and adapt to different cultures and hierarchical structures.
  • This role will involve international travel for both short and occasional extended periods.

Other desirable skills could include:

  • Understanding of threat Intelligence and its use in an operational environment
  • Working with a range of security tooling/technology
  • Support incident response to national scale incidents in a coaching capacity
  • Training need analysis, training delivery and exercising
  • Familiarity with national cyber indices such as Global Cybersecurity Index and CCMM
  • Familiarity with cyber capacity building sponsored by funding nations.
