An exciting opportunity has arisen within Powys CAMHS PMH, whereby we are looking to appoint two Band 5 skilled workers, to work across Powys, based one North, one South, (FTE North, 0.6 South) with children, young people and their families to make a difference to their quality of lives.

You will have a high level of supervision, provided regularly, and access to peer supervision where you will be able to tap in to the vast knowledge base that sits within CAMHS under different disciplines.

You will provide brief, focussed interventions to CYPF that are evidence based.

You are not required to have a registration with a governing body for this role, however degree level/or relevant experience will be required.


Provide brief, evidence-based interventions to children, young people and their families to help them meet their goals with the support and supervision of senior team member.

Provide psychologically minded holistic mental health interventions within a contextual, normative and developmental framework.

Deliver evidence based therapeutic interventions (individual and group based).

Provide advice and information to patients and their carers, including signposting to other sources of support.

Support onward referral to more appropriate community based or secondary and specialist services where indicated.


Develop and maintain close relationships with Primary Care providers and staff from a range of statutory and non-statutory services, providing advice and support to promote the management of those with mental health needs.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
