Rehabilitation Therapy Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Rehabilitation Therapy Support Worker. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to patients in our rehabilitation services.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver interventions as delegated by therapists to support patients in achieving their optimum level of independence and quality of life.
- Assist patients in overcoming their difficulties, building confidence, and improving or maintaining functional ability and independence in everyday tasks.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams promoting the role of rehabilitation and taking an active part in team projects.
- Organise and manage a delegated caseload, obtaining service data, analysing where appropriate, and bringing forward ideas for service development.
- Good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- Technical qualification NVQ Level III or equivalent.
- Previous experience of working in the care or leisure setting.
- Experience of working in a busy and varied workplace, including dealing with the public.
- Broad range of life experiences.
- Ability to speak or learn Welsh to a satisfactory level.
- IT skills.
- Demonstrate Powys Teaching Health Board values.
- An appreciation of the principles of practices and procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- Aware of own limitations.
- Ability to take responsibility within agreed protocols.
- Assertive and calm under pressure.
- Ability to prioritise and organise time effectively.
- Evidence of self-initiated learning and a willingness to undertake training.
