Job description Job responsibilities General Duties and Responsibilities- Constructively challenge the proposed decisions of the Board of Directors and ensure that appropriate challenge is made in all circumstances
- Help develop proposals on priorities, risk mitigation, values and standards
- Assist in setting our strategic aims, ensuring that the necessary financial and human resources are in place and that performance is effectively monitored
- Provide assurance to the Board on the clinical position and reporting of the company
- Scrutinise the performance of the executive management in meeting agreed goals and objectives
- Act as an ambassador for the company in engagement with stakeholders
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure the company operates within its regulations and legislation
- Support the Chair, Managing Director and Executive Directors in promoting our values
- Support a positive culture throughout the organisation and adopt behaviours in the Boardroom and elsewhere that exemplify our corporate values
- Satisfy themselves and give assurance to other Board members that financial quality controls, systems of risk management, reporting and governance are sound and that they are consistently implemented
- Work with Executive Directors to commission and use external advice as necessary
- Ensure that they receive adequate information in the form that they specify including to monitor the reporting of performance and clinical quality
- Ensure that the company remains sustainable whilst improving services to patients
Job responsibilities General Duties and Responsibilities

Experience Essential
