An exciting opportunity has arisen for business support roles to join the Corporate Head Office administration team to provide a comprehensive, effective and professional business support service to the Chief Financial Officer, an Executive Board Director of the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board (ICB).


The post holder will have proven and relevant senior administration and/or business support experience and will manage the day to day running of the Executive Directors' office in a confident and effective manner.

The post holder will have strong prioritisation and excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in a busy and dynamic environment.

Flexibility and working at pace to strict deadlines are key.

This role requires the ability to manage many competing priorities, to work logically, and to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.


To provide oversight and coordination of all business support and administration processes that contribute towards the safe and effective running of the Executive Board Director's office and portfolio.


To ensure the provision of a fully comprehensive administrative and business support service working closely with the Executive Board Director to remove unnecessary demands and pressures, working in a professional, efficient and confidential manner.

To administer all aspects of meetings as required where the Executive Board Director is chair.


To act as first point of contract for all communications and ensure all enquires are acted on or re-directed appropriately.

These are office-based roles with the expectation of being located in one of our offices (currently Bodmin, Truro and St Austell).

There will be flexibilities to work from all office locations, in collaboration with the board directors and their requirements.

Act as the primary point of contact for a range of business administration activities, with delegated lead responsibility for relevant corporate function processes

Provide efficient and effective high quality administrative and business support service

Work closely with the ICB leadership team to develop and manage robust systems for the effective delivery of the Executive Board Director's portfolio

Work closely with other Business Support team members to understand and adhere to processes and procedures and raise areas for intervention where appropriate

To provide and receive complex, confidential and sensitive information and distribute to the appropriate channels

To work autonomously in the absence of the Executive Board Director and initiate escalation of urgent matters

To attend, assist, contribute and distribute information to meetings

Act as a key member of the team to support effective communication and stakeholder management both internally and externally

Provide project support as required, promoting innovative approaches and supporting organisational excellence

To monitor and record all staff absences, sickness, training and annual leave, highlighting any areas of concern to the Executive Board Director as appropriate

Undertake reporting of information, including collating reports for the Executive Board Director and senior management team as required highlighting any risks, issues or actions where possible

To manage HR personnel files for all staff in the team, ensuring they are kept up to date
