You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support.

These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council.

9-year-old cheeky chap loves trains, buses and the thrill of Flambards rides, as well as swimming/splashing, parks, running/rolling down hills, loud music and the circus, seeks a positive personal assistant to support him in the community.

He has a diagnosis of brain trauma, epilepsy & traits of Autism & A.D.H.D.

Support required:

  • Accessing community
  • Support & guidance with safety & socially acceptable behaviour
  • Promote independence with personal care & dressing through modelling
  • Support to keep safe during epileptic events
  • Adapt to and support any behaviours he may present

Hourly rate of pay:
£ mileage


Hours per week: 2-8 flexible hours at the weekends + some flexible hours during the holidays.

Working schedule
The hours would be arranged to suit both yourself & the family, it wouldn't be the commitment of every weekend, school holiday (zero hours contract) or any set day each week

Essential:

  • Full driving licence w/ own car
  • Someone who has lots of fun & energy who is able to laugh with him
