You will need to be either AAT qualified/part-qualified or qualified by experience for this role. Previous experience is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking ownership of the purchase ledger, entering all invoices and maintenance of the purchase order system. Setting up new suppliers and matching up all purchase orders with invoices.
  • Ensuring creditors are paid according to payment terms
  • Assisting with weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Dealing with any supplier queries and ensure VAT compliance
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with suppliers
  • Reconcile credit card payments
  • Monitoring and dealing with inbox daily
  • Process employee expenses weekly
  • Reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis following up on queries and missing invoices
  • Maintain purchase order system and workflows
  • Assist with the yearend accounts preparation a
  • Provide cover for payroll process when required
  • Assist the finance team with ad hoc tasks
