Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant Assistant to join our team at Get Recruited (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for assisting with the Month End Cycle, supporting the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, and performing various financial tasks.

About the Role:

  • Assist the Finance Manager with Month End and Year End tasks, including supplier statement reconciliations and VAT returns.
  • Oversee the Purchase Ledger and assist with the input of Purchase Ledger invoices.
  • Handle Purchase invoice queries and resolve any issues.
  • Prepare supplier payment runs, post bank transactions, and send remittances.
  • Prepare Credit Control Reports with accurate debtor information.
  • Assist with ad-hoc Sales Invoices.
  • Support the Management Accountant and other Finance team members with queries and information.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting in Excel.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an Assistant Management Accountant role or similar.
  • Good understanding of the Purchase Order process.
  • Highly computer literate with accounting software (ideally Sage) and operating at a Basic to Intermediate level with MS Excel.
  • Good understanding of VAT and how/when it is applied and reclaimed.
  • Keen attention to detail is essential.
  • AAT or above would be an advantage, however, experience will be prioritised over qualifications.
