White Rose CIC is a registered UK charity retailer founded in 2009 by Nottingham Trent university students to support the work of Aegis Trust.
Aegis is a UK NGO that aims to prevent and resolve conflict and mass atrocities through peace education programmes in communities worldwide.
At White Rose we welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, as we actively support Aegis in their mission to prevent discrimination that leads to mass atrocities.
White Rose support Aegis by selling handpicked, high quality, pre-loved fashion items and accessories in our multiple shops in Nottingham, Beeston, Newark, Sheffield, Derby and Leicester.
How you can help
Volunteering at White Rose distribution centre is a diverse, exciting, and fulfilling experience. We receive a magnitude of generous donations full of hidden gems and excellent brands.
In this role you will be working at right at the heart of the organisation, supporting the supply team to sort, select and preparing stock, ready for distribution.
Typical tasks of a stock supply volunteer:
- Sort through our donations to separate the best quality stock from lower grade stock.
- Hang, tag, steam clothing.
- Organise stock for delivery to the retail stores.
- Prepare lower grade stock for other avenues of revenue generation
- Help to keep the warehouse safe, cleaned, tidy and well organised.
Who this role will suit:
If you like organisation and methodical activities, this could be for you. You don't need any experience to volunteer, all we ask is that you are motivated and keen to learn new skills or share your experience and talents to support an amazing cause
We offer a full induction as well as ongoing training opportunities to give you the confidence to excel in your volunteer role with White Rose.
Where volunteering will take place:
Our team are based at Unit 6, Castle Park, Nottingham, NG2. There are excellent bus and tram links, and it is also in walking distance from Nottingham City Centre.
Availability:
Monday - Friday. Anytime between 9am - 4pm.
We require a minimum of 4 hours a week and we are flexible with which days/hours work best for you.
