Laundry Assistant

About the Role:

This position would suit someone who is looking for part-time hours without the need for working weekend shifts.

We are happy for the individual to work 9am-3pm Monday to Friday - which would suit someone who has children in school.


As a Laundry Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring a clean safe environment is provided for our residents, visitors and staff and be an important part of the team that ensures residents in our care feel valued.

Duties will include taking care of all clothing and bedding, ensure everything is labelled, washed and dried according to the washing instructions and ironed to a high standard, some sewing will also be required.

You will be responsible for making the beds and putting residents' clothing away neatly in their wardrobes. Your role may involve additional duties such as assisting with some domestic duties if required.

About You:


You will have a caring nature and a positive attitude, showing a desire to deliver the best possible standard of laundry service to the residents in our care.

You will ideally have previous experience and be committed to ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene and appearance.

You will be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to older people and be a team player but able to work on your own initiative.

You will be dependable and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home.

Shifts:
Start and finish times may be flexible - 9-3pm Mon-Fri - some flexibility if required.
