Housekeeping Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at The Disabilities Trust. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest possible standard of cleanliness throughout our Service, including laundry.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for cleaning all areas of the Service as per daily cleaning schedules, managing laundry, and following guidance from the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- To carry out all duties with due regard for the Health and Safety of service users, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
- Responsible for ensuring safe storage and use of chemicals and equipment, adhering to COSHH and Health and Safety requirements.
- To work with a variety of equipment, report the need for repair or maintenance of equipment, and for materials to be replenished.
- To record all information required and work to national and local cleaning standards.
- Facilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service, the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally take on reasonable additional tasks.
- Able to work both as part of a team and on their own.
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Able to work within policies and procedures and Behavioural Framework.
- Understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety Regulations.
