Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest possible standard of cleanliness throughout the Service, including the laundry.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cleaning all areas of the Service as per daily cleaning schedules, manage laundry, following guidance from the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • To carry out all duties with due regard for the Health and Safety of service users, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
  • Responsible to ensure safe storage and use of chemicals and equipment with COSHH and Health and Safety requirements.
  • To work with a number of different equipment. To report the need for repair or maintenance of equipment and for materials to be replenished.
  • To record all information required.
  • To work to national and local cleaning standards.
  • Facilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service, the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasks.

Person Specification

  • No formal qualifications required.
  • Able to work both as part of a team and on their own.
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work within policies and procedures and Behavioural Framework.
  • Understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety Regulations.
