Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Brainkind. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest possible standard of cleanliness throughout our Service, including the laundry.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our service users. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the Service as per daily cleaning schedules, managing laundry, and ensuring the safe storage and use of chemicals and equipment. You will also be expected to work with a variety of equipment, report any maintenance or repair needs, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the Service as per daily cleaning schedules
• Manage laundry, following guidance from the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Ensure the safe storage and use of chemicals and equipment
• Work with a variety of equipment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs
• Maintain accurate records
• Work to national and local cleaning standards

Requirements

• No formal qualifications required
• Able to work both as part of a team and on your own
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing
• Understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety Regulations
