About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Aspris Children's Services. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school premises during term times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming classrooms, hallways, offices, and other school areas.
  • Sanitation and Hygiene: Ensure that all designated areas are sanitized and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.
  • Waste Management: Manage and dispose of waste in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Supply Management: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and notify the appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Organizational Skills: Assist in organizing and tidying classrooms, play areas, and common spaces to promote a neat and orderly environment.
  • Laundry Services: Responsible for daily laundry tasks ensuring clean, dry towels and clothing are available.
  • Health and Safety: Uphold health and safety standards at all times, including following relevant paperwork and protocols for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a similar role is preferred.
  • Time Management: Ability to work independently and efficiently, with excellent time management skills.
  • Keyholding Responsibilities: Keyholding responsibilities may be required.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Compassion and Understanding: Compassionate, with a genuine interest in supporting children with autism.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Understanding of the importance of adherence to health and safety regulations.
