E O Burton & Co Ltd is a well-established hardwood and softwood timber merchant and machinist based in Brentwood, Essex, since 1955 with over 65 years of experience in the industry.

We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team and help us continue to grow and expand our business.


Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the hardwood and softwood timber industry.

Maintain relationships with existing customers and ensure their needs are met.

Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.

Negotiate pricing and contracts with customers.

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets.

Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.

Keep up to date with industry trends and product knowledge.

Report sales activity and progress to the Sales Manager.

Requirements:

Previous sales experience in sawn and machined hardwoods.

Proven experience as a Sales Representative in the timber industry.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Strong customer service skills and a passion for building relationships with customers.

Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software.

A positive attitude and a desire to learn and grow within the company.

A valid driver's license.
