Citizens Advice Medway are looking for a Foodbank Support Worker to provide high quality information, advice and support to people accessing Medway Foodbank, to tackle the issues that have led to their need for emergency food support.


As Foodbank Support Worker you will provide advice and support on issues including welfare benefits and debt, and additional problems such as homelessness, referring to specialist support as required.

You will act as a bridge between clients and the Citizens Advice team to aid engagement.

You will also liaise with key local agencies (foodbank, local authority, schools etc), as well as providing practical support such as accompanying clients to meetings, helping with paperwork and associated administrative tasks.

The Foodbank Support worker will visit Medway Foodbank outreaches to see clients and also at our offices. A full, clean driving licence is desirable.

Ideally you will have some experience of support work and working with vulnerable clients. Training can be provided on welfare benefits and other advice areas.

Salary:
From £19,500.00 per year
