Learning & Development are excited to be recruiting to our Trust Resuscitation Lead post.


The Trust Resuscitation Lead is key in linking with the Trust's physical healthcare agenda and works closely with colleagues from across the Trust in analysing training needs with regard to life support and devising meaningful learning and development responses.

They will lead a small team of trainers in the development and delivery of high quality effective life support training programmes across the Trust.


The post holder will have responsibility for the development and delivery of high quality effective life support training programmes for all Trust staff, ensuring that adequate training is programmed in order to fulfil the demands of the Trust.


You will provide expert knowledge and skills in life support to aid the Trust's physical healthcare agenda progress and audit requirements.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • Professional Qualification: Registered Clinician with significant clinical experience of emergency physical health deterioration and resuscitation.
  • Have Experience in Physical Health Deterioration, recognition (ABCDE), monitoring (NEWS2) and intervention.
  • Hold an accredited teaching certificate. Experience with presentation/ facilitation/teaching skills, use of equipment and E-Learning resources or willing to work towards gaining a qualification.
Desirable

  • Ideally have attended an acute illness management course i.e., AIMS, ALERT, RAMPS or IMPACT
Training

Essential

  • Experience in an educational or training capacity.
  • Gained Resuscitation Council (UK) accredited Advanced Life Support Provider status (attended and passed the RC(UK) ALS course)
  • Have experience in providing mentorship, preceptorship or coaching in a clinical setting.

Desirable

  • Gained Resuscitation Council (UK) accredited Advanced Life Support Instructor status (nominated and passed RC(UK) ALS GIC)
  • Gained Resuscitation Council (UK) Immediate Life Support Instructor status (nominated & passed ILS GIC course) Or have a willingness to attend this within first quarter in post
  • Paediatric Life Support Provider (PILS) and recognition of sick child training; Or have a willingness to attend this within first quarter in post
