About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the UHBW Trust as a Physiotherapy Team Lead, providing leadership for the Outpatient MSK Physiotherapy team based at Leengate. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for inspiring and developing the clinical and leadership performance of the team, comprised of band 6's, 5's, and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the physiotherapy team, ensuring high-quality patient care and service delivery.
    • Manage staff performance, sickness, and recruitment to maximize workforce potential.
  • Education and Training
    • Deliver training and education to individuals, teams, and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Contribute to the education and teaching of more junior physiotherapists, students, preceptees, and therapy support workers.
  • Service Development and Quality
    • Ensure high-quality, evidence-based practice, service development, and education underpin the service delivery.
    • Evaluate clinical and non-clinical interventions, and make decisions on service development and improvement.
  • Communication and Relationship Building
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and carers.
    • Communicate complex patient information effectively, taking into account language barriers, speech, and cognitive problems.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • BSc Physiotherapy or equivalent.
    • HCPC registration.
    • Evidence of postgraduate study and professional development within the specialist area.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Significant postgraduate experience, including a wide variety of rotations and experiences at Band 6 in a relevant specialty.
    • Experience of managing staff performance and sickness, and participation in recruitment of new staff.
    • Able to deliver training and educate individuals, teams, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Communication and Relationship Skills
    • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Able to build and maintain effective relationships with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and carers.
