Medical Physiotherapy Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapy Specialist to join our Medical Inpatient Physiotherapy team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients across a range of clinical areas, including oncology, haematology, infectious diseases, renal, and palliative care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat patients with a range of conditions, including acute respiratory needs, and develop treatment plans to meet their individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Supervise and train junior staff, including physiotherapy assistants and students, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
- Contribute to the development of the physiotherapy service, including participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
- Participate in on-call and weekend working, as well as late shifts, to ensure that patients receive the care they need at all times.
- BSc honours degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
- State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Postgraduate training relevant to the area of specialism.
- Experience of working in an acute inpatient setting, with a focus on respiratory care.
- Ability to communicate complex information to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to motivate, train, and teach junior staff.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
