About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Medical Inpatient Physiotherapy team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with a range of conditions, including acute respiratory needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Supervise and support junior staff, including Band 5 therapists and support workers.
  • Deputise for senior staff as required.
  • Participate in on-call and weekend rotas, as well as late shifts.
  • Contribute to the development of our service, working closely with senior staff to implement evidence-based practice.
  • Support student placements and provide formal and informal training.
  • Provide a supportive and learning environment for team members, including annual appraisals and health and wellbeing support.

Requirements
  • BSc honours degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
  • State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Postgraduate training relevant to the area.
  • Experience of working in an acute inpatient setting.
  • Ability to communicate complex information and motivate, train, and teach others.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience as a Band 6 Physiotherapist.
  • Experience of audit and performance management.
  • Leadership and management qualifications.
