About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapy Specialist to join our Medical Inpatient Physiotherapy team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-evolving division, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with a range of complex medical conditions, including acute respiratory needs, in a variety of clinical areas.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
  • Supervise and train junior staff, including physiotherapy students and support workers.
  • Contribute to the development of our service, including the implementation of evidence-based practice and the development of new initiatives.
  • Participate in on-call and weekend working, as well as late shifts, to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • BSc honours degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
  • State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Postgraduate training relevant to the area, including experience in evaluation of practice and appraisal of performance.
  • Ability to communicate complex information and motivate, train, and teach others.
  • Ability to assess, formulate a diagnosis, and plan patient management using clinical reasoning skills and a range of treatment options.
