Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective preparation and distraction strategies to support children and families during MRI scans and treatments.
- Work closely with families to understand their needs and preferences, providing personalized care and support.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and communication.
- Provide written and verbal reports as required, maintaining accurate documentation and records.
- Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of toys and equipment, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
- Participate in ward and play staff meetings, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
- Develop and deliver training programs for students and staff, promoting professional development and growth.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest training and development opportunities, including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, child protection, and fire safety.
- Contribute to the provision of ongoing education and support for children and families, promoting healthy habits and well-being.
- Participate in audits and evaluations, ensuring the highest standards of care and service delivery.
- Liaise with the Hospital Play Specialist Lead to identify and address training and development needs.
Requirements:
