We are looking for an experienced and dependable IT Field Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is your chance to be a part of an organisation that values professional development and encourages innovation.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT systems and infrastructure across 19 schools and our Head Office. You will work closely with the IT department to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain IT equipment and systems. You will be based at one of our schools in Cheltenham, but you will be required to travel across different schools where necessary.
As a representative of the Department, you will be confident to converse with school staff to assist them with their IT queries and requirements.
About the Role and You
Contact type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £35k circa, dependent on experience
Start date: Immediate start available
Location: Cheltenham
You will be responsible for:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems, including computers, printers, and networking equipment.
- Provide technical support to resolve hardware and software issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure the reliability and security of IT systems.
- Implement network infrastructure improvements and upgrades.
- Visiting schools ensuring that their IT systems are running smoothly and troubleshooting any issues.

- Proven experience as an IT technician or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking principles and troubleshooting.

Additional Information
This position will require travel between school campuses across the country. Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate IT-related emergencies or maintenance.
