As a WordPress Infrastructure and Support Technician at Kernow Media, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, performance, and security of our clients' websites.
You will work closely with our design, content, and marketing teams to implement updates, troubleshoot issues, and optimise sites for speed and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain multiple WordPress websites, ensuring they are uptodate, secure, and performing optimally.
- Implement updates to WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
- Monitor website performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to improve speed and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs.
- Optimise websites for SEO and ensure compatibility across various browsers and devices.
- Perform regular backups and ensure recovery plans are in place.
- Collaborate with design and content teams to implement new features and enhancements.
- Ensure website security by implementing best practices and regular security checks.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in WordPress infrastructure and support roles.
- A knowledge of WordPress CMS, including themes, plugins, and customisations.
- Experience with website performance optimisation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools.
- Understanding of web security best practices.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Experience with ecommerce platforms like WooCommerce.
- Familiarity with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
