An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term contract, for the Strategic Manager for the social work Assessment Teams, CHAD and EDT with one of our local authority clients.
You should have considerable experience of managing social work teams and ideally experience of managing the Children's Social Care assessment, front door and emergency duty functions.
You should also be able to evidence how you have delivered excellent performance and improvement in your current management role. This position will be line managed by the Assistant Director.
Skills Required:
- Detailed knowledge of Children's Services with a clear understanding of the legislative framework
- Experience of change management
- Partnership Working (internal & external)
- Performance Management in a range of settings
- Significant experience of managing budgets
- Substantial experience of the management & delivery of children's services, strategic level planning and people management
- Small geographical area and cover locality basis, therefore travelling between visits
- Opportunities to become a 'champion' in various different areas of practice and development
- Secured funding for 'family hubs' and have been rolling these out across the city creating a fantastic early help offer including parenting programmes, confidence building courses, adult learning offer, food banks and charitable support plus much more
- Strong management team and also senior managers who are very supported
- Free parking via critical user parking permit for various car parks across the city, including parking on the multi-deck car park next to the office
