Job summary

The post holder will be working at the heart of the Cheshire and Merseyside Mental health Programme and across organisational boundaries to contribute to the development and initiation of complex, high-value projects in line with the Trust's Strategic Vision, the Cheshire and Merseyside Talking Therapies Steering Group and the Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance.

The post holder will work with the Talking Therapies Programme Manager, Talking Therapies Services and Cancer Services across Cheshire and Merseyside , and Clinical leads (from both Cancer and Talking Therapies services) to lead, manage and support the delivery of service improvement and transformation projects within Talking Therapies and Cancer Services across Cheshire and Merseyside

The vacancy is fixed term, Secondment opportunities with agreement from line managers would be welcomed.

Will work alongside the service improvement manager working on pathways between cancer services and mental health/psychosocial services.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will play a key role in clinically leading and helping embed new service improvement processes/pathways and best practice across Talking Therapies and Cancer Services and will help transfer knowledge to colleagues involved in project implementations to ensure continuous and sustainable improvement.

Qualifications

Essential

Professional education (Nursing or Therapy) to degree level or equivalent Management ( MBA) or professional qualification at postgraduate level or equivalent experience Evidence of continual professional development

Knowledge and Expertise

Experience in a senior clinical management role in the NHS Understanding of NHS and social care Proven experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external individuals, developing alliances and partnerships Competent in a range of quality improvement methodologies and knowledge of key service design tools and methodologies eg care pathway re-design, demand and capacity analysis, process mapping, statistical process control, role re-design, lean thinking Knowledge on national evidence on best practice, evidence based models of care, clinical standards and guidelines that need to inform service design and business development.
