Main Duties

  • Carry out regular and adhoc ground maintenance across a wide portfolio of sites, both large and small, across the region. This type of work involves cutting grass, strimming, trimming hedges, weeding, planting, clearing leaves and debris etc.
  • Cleaning of internal communal areas within the region. This type of work includes hoovering, dusting, wiping handrails, window cleaning, cleaning carpets etc.
  • Help assess maintenance issues and health and safety issues including reporting building defects, testing of fire and security alarms.

Person Specification:

  • Have a keen interest in gardening, no trade qualifications are required but previous experience in a similar type of role would be highly advantageous.
  • Have at least 1 year of cleaning experience.
  • Demonstrate good decisionmaking skills and common sense.
  • Take pride in consistently providing a high standard of customer service as you will be acting as a Community Property Care' representative when on site.
  • Experience of working to achieve agreed works are completed within agreed time frames.
  • A team player who ensures that all our estates and communal areas are clean, tidy and in a safe condition.
  • Live in or around the Exeter area to enable the morning pick up and afternoon drop off.
  • Hold a current and full manual Driving License (essential as on occasions you will be required to use a Company van as a tool for the job).
