Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Active Personnel Recruitment LTD. As a Property Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for undertaking maintenance and repair work to ensure that properties are functional and safe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake maintenance and repair work, including reactive, void, and planned tasks, to ensure properties are functional and safe.
  • Work independently and take an active approach to the role, using initiative within set procedures.
  • Maximize the number of first-time fixes to minimize revisits.
  • Collaborate with Helpdesk coordinators to ensure efficient scheduling using workforce management software.
  • Deliver high-quality maintenance experiences for customers.
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner to customers.
  • Provide detailed reports from site, using mobile software tools, to demonstrate job completion.
  • Liaise with customers to explain follow-on work requirements, nature, and timeframes.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, with flexibility to collaborate with team members on larger projects.
  • Confidence in dealing with vulnerable or special needs tenants, demonstrating flexibility, patience, and courtesy.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of property maintenance, including reactive, planned, and emergency work.
  • Ability to undertake basic carpentry, minor electrical, and plumbing repairs, and general maintenance work.
  • Ability to take verbal instruction and direction.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and maintain written records of repairs.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to use a smartphone to accept jobs and upload reports and photos using our scheduling app.

Benefits:

  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week, including travel time, with opportunities for overtime.
