We are seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Active Personnel Recruitment LTD. As a Property Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking maintenance and repair work to ensure properties are functional and safe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake maintenance and repair work, including reactive, void, and planned tasks.
- Work independently and take initiative within set procedures.
- Maximize first-time fixes to minimize revisits.
- Collaborate with Helpdesk co-ordinators and utilize workforce management software/app for efficient scheduling.
- Deliver high-quality maintenance experiences for customers.
- Represent the company professionally and courteously to customers.
- Provide detailed reports from site, using mobile software tools, with evidence of job completion.
- Liaise with customers to explain follow-on work requirements and timeframes.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, with flexibility to collaborate with team members on larger projects.
- Confidence in dealing with vulnerable or special needs tenants, with flexibility, patience, and courtesy.
- Familiarity with Safeguarding requirements.
- Excellent understanding of property maintenance, including reactive, planned, and emergency work.
- Ability to undertake basic carpentry, minor electrical, and plumbing repairs, and general maintenance work.
- Ability to take verbal instruction and direction, and follow written instructions with accurate record-keeping.
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety and use of PPE.
- Ability to use own smartphone for job acceptance, report uploading, and photo submission using our Scheduling app.
Benefits:
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week, including travel time, with overtime opportunities.
