We are working to advance gender equality and we take an intersectional perspective in relation to race, religion and belief, disability, age, sexual orientation, pregnancy, and maternity status.

The Athena Swan Charter is a framework, which is used to support and transform gender equality within Higher Education and research.

Each School has a five-year Athena Swan action plan.

You will have a key role in providing effective support to Athena Swan leads across the Faculty to ensure that actions are completed in line with project timescales.

Working closely with the Faculty EDI Officer to facilitate an intersectional approach to gender equality, you will support a joined-up approach to cross-Faculty working to reduce duplication of effort and increase impact.


With previous experience supporting projects against agreed objectives, you will be able to manage competing priorities, be a highly organised, team player, with strong influencing and communication skills, and be able to drive forward project actions and achieve desirable outcomes.

Working to deadline you will also collect both quantitative and qualitative data (e.g., through online surveys or focus groups) and analyse this data for management information purposes.
