Role responsibilities
As a Safety Operations Standards Competency Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that TfW Operational processes are effective and efficient and achieve excellent standards. Day to day, you will deal with the demands that can arise from train operations, respond to requests from our internal and external stakeholders.
Manage the competence of all Operational Managers through mentoring and coaching To undertake extensive research and support heads of functions and frontline operational managers in developing a set of guidance documents and methods of work To develop a suite of Key Performance and Safety Performance Indicators (leading) for operational safety within their areas of responsibility Prepare and analyse management information, creating written reports as necessary for appropriate management forums. To support line managers in carrying out their responsibilities relating to risk assessing operational activity.Who we're looking for
Competent in assessing, instructing and verification Experience of working with competence management systems Experience and competence in auditing and investigations Conductor competencyWelsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
