We are seeking a Service Desk Advisor for a Local Authority Client based in North London.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for citizens and internal stakeholders seeking assistance with council services, IT support, and general inquiries.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Respond to incoming inquiries via phone, email, or in-person and provide timely and accurate assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to council services, applications, and IT infrastructure.
  • Log all inquiries and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system, ensuring comprehensive documentation of all interactions.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or team for further investigation and resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes, share knowledge, and enhance service delivery.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or help desk role.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues related to council services, applications, and IT infrastructure.
  • Able to accurately log all inquiries and resolutions in a ticketing system.
  • Familiar with council policies, procedures, and services.

What's on offer

Salary: £21+per hour

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week
