The following are the core responsibilities of the administrator.

There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
A. Ensure all correspondence, reports, results etc. are filed electronically in correct records and kept up to date.

B. Management of medical records. C. Provide administrative support to members of the primary health care team.

D. Process cervical screening lists. E. Process all PCSE tasks GMS3s, requests labels etc.

F. Updating patient records eg changes in personal information, immunisation status etc. G. Registration and deduction of patients, liaising with patients and PCSE.

H. Processing content management tasks/messages. I. Processing diabetic eye screening tasks/correspondence.

J. Instructing staff as necessary on the use of the computer. K. Liaising with IT Helpdesks in regard to computer/clinical system problems.

P. Other duties as per doctors instructions as dictated by changes in the nature of The Heron Medical Practice.
