Job Summary

We are in search of a proactive and amicable Receptionist to join our team and play a crucial role within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in general practice and must possess strong interpersonal skills to ensure top-notch service delivery to our patients.

Main Duties of the Job

The selected candidates should have outstanding communication abilities. You will be required to use your initiative and collaborate effectively within a team setting. Responsibilities of a GP Receptionist will involve: scheduling appointments, managing a high volume of incoming calls and online inquiries, addressing patient concerns, and handling general administrative tasks. If you find this role appealing and can perform well under pressure, we need dedicated and adaptable individuals to work 25 hours per week from 1:30 to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

About Us

Dr. Bano & Partners is a medical practice dedicated to providing exceptional service with a patient-centered approach.

Currently, we cater to 4200 patients and our practice is continuously growing.

We have 1 GP Partner and 2 Long-term Locum GPs. Our Clinical team comprises Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, a Paramedic, and Pharmacist support. Additionally, we have a diligent administrative team that offers valuable support to our clinicians and patients.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Receive, assist, and guide patients in accessing the appropriate healthcare service or professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective manner.

Provide general support to the practice team and maintain a positive and welcoming demeanor towards patients and other visitors, whether face-to-face or over the phone.

Job Responsibilities:

Administration

  • To have a comprehensive understanding of all practice procedures.
  • To operate in alignment with established protocols.

Reception

  • Greet patients, consult with practice team members.
  • Distribute completed repeat prescriptions to patients and verify names and addresses.
  • Update data as required, such as contact numbers/smoking status, etc.

Appointments

  • Manage appointment requests for the current or future dates, from patients over the phone or in person.
  • Handle visit/requests efficiently.

Computer

  • Update patients' address changes in the computer system and medical records.
  • Handle repeat prescription requests following practice guidelines.

Other Tasks

  • Clean rooms after medical procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to building security protocols.

Carry out any other assignments delegated by the management.
