Our client, The A.E.D.A. Alliance (Advocates of Empowerment, Development and Achievement), is a forward-thinking company offering specialized services in the care sector. They focus on enhancing the quality of life for children and young individuals in social care.
They consist of a team of experienced professionals in the social care field, including independent social work practitioners, care owners, therapists, educators, and senior residential staff.
Currently, they are in need of a Support Worker located in Kingston.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in the Care Sector with children and young individuals.
- Familiarity with the 5 Accomplishments.
- Understanding of the diverse needs of young people, including those with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and challenging requirements.
- Awareness of topics such as sexuality, sexual abuse, CCE, CSE, and child protection.
- Completion of Prevention & Management of Violence & Aggression Training.
- Training in Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Self-motivated.
Personal Attributes:
- Willing and adaptable.
- Creative.
- Capable of building positive relationships.
- A team player.
- Reliable and dedicated.
- Available for evening and weekend shifts.
- Possession of a Current Enhanced DBS Certificate or registered on the DBS Update Service.
- N.V.Q. Level 3 or higher in Children and Young People.
- Possession of an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
08:00 - 20:00 Days
20:00 - 08:00 Nights (Sleeping & Waking)
Rate:
