We are looking for a Head of Communications to support a growing content-driven live and on-demand events business with colleagues and customers at the heart of everything we do.

This is a brand-new and important role that we are bringing into the business in response to our increased focus on culture and colleague experience.

As this is a new role, it provides a unique opportunity to influence and shape the role and the function moving forward.

As a key internal influencer, you will also have the opportunity to partner closely with our senior management team, offering perspective and guidance on colleague engagement.

Reporting to the HR Director, this role is responsible for creating and implementing the global internal communications and engagement strategy for Informa Connect, working closely with the CEO, HRD, CMO, MDs and senior stakeholders across the business on content, storytelling and distribution.

Stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence is critical.

As Head of Communications, you will also have the support of the Communications Manager, reporting into this role.

Working in a small yet effective team such as this, you will be a player/manager, who can develop and lead on the communications strategy, but can also get stuck in and create and deliver meaningful content that improves employee engagement as and when needed.

In this role, you will lead Communications innovation, adopting an 'audience-first' mindset, re-invigorating Informa Connect's communications strategy, using data and insights to active improving colleague engagement across the business, aligning with HR on a rounded and consistent approach to colleague wellbeing and satisfaction through initiatives such as our Colleague Value Proposition, Attraction and Retention, Volunteering, Walk the World, the Informa Awards and Cheers4Peers; identifying new opportunities to improve engagement and measuring performance of programs to determine go-forward plans.

You will also be responsible for communicating the Informa Colleague Value Proposition internally and externally, building our Social Media presence to improve attraction.

Informa Connect is a multi-faceted business made up of sector Verticals which are structured as distinct businesses and run by Managing Directors.

Those sector Verticals are also enabled by the division-wide functional support teams and a division-wide leadership team.

As Head of Communications, you would work with each of these areas to create dynamic, inspiring content to unite and build the divisional culture.

Change is a constant in Informa Connect.

You will be a change champion, helping our senior leadership team and colleagues become comfortable with change through effective communication channels.

No two days are the same at Informa Connect, and you will be given a lot of independence in this role.

If you like variety and you enjoy the freedom to influence change, then this is the role for you

Key Responsibilities

Like any role there are lots of key responsibilities that you will be working across such as strategy development, data and insights, content creation and storytelling, managing communication channels, AND genuinely caring about our colleagues and their experience here at Informa Connect.

You will be focused on the following key areas
