We are excited to announce an opportunity for an HR Systems Assistant Officer to join Gwent Police at their Police HQ in Cwmbran.

This role is full time, working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with a mix of office and remote work. Initially, this position is temporary until August 2025.

Job Role Overview

To assist the department by managing and interpreting information and providing efficient administrative services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the department, handling inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Identify and resolve issues in collaboration with relevant parties
  • Ensure accurate data processing in internal systems
  • Analyze and evaluate information from various sources for decision-making
  • Maintain electronic filing systems and conduct regular audits to uphold data integrity
  • Process procurement requests in compliance with financial regulations
  • Update departmental information on the intranet for accessibility

Requirements

  • Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or HR, or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in administrative support
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Familiarity with office management practices
  • Understanding of Data Protection Regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to interpret and present data effectively
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Basic knowledge of Welsh language required with further training provided
