Summary of our opportunity

In this new role, you'll lead the implementation of ICG's global DEI strategy across our growing FTSE 100 alternative asset management business. You'll be able to build on our existing DEI foundations to ensure we can meet our business ambitions, be an employer of choice and fulfil our purpose.

Working out of our London office, you'll use your DEI subject matter expertise, influencing capabilities and business transformation skills to drive positive and quantifiable impact across the 18 markets that we operate in. As an individual contributor shaping our culture, you'll be working closely with colleagues across different teams who are supporting DEI progress. You'll also get to engage with senior leaders across the business and manage key activity with direction from ICG's Executive Committee and Board.

This is a terrific opportunity for an enthusiastic DEI practitioner with a proven track record of designing and delivering change to make their mark.

Primary Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this role:

Progress implementation of ICG's multi-year global DEI strategy, targets and objectives. Coordinate/oversee activity across key stakeholders/diversity strands, including collaboration across teams supporting delivery of strategic DEI activity where required, Provide HR specialists with DEI best practice guidance for their activities and processes. Engage with Communications on DEI content plans across platforms to reinforce a consistent DEI narrative internally and externally. Interface with ESG and Marketing & Client Relations teams on requirements and best practices. Support senior leaders with business area specific plans. Drive enhancements in DEI data collection and analysis to achieve quantifiable outcomes for ICG. Maintain subject matter expert in key DEI issues, with a particular focus on industry considerations. Stay aligned with target expectations, regulatory/legislative changes, benchmarking/awards opportunities, industry/competitor/leading multinationals DEI activity and associated best practices to translate those to internal actions as needed. Review and iterate DEI plans, prioritising delivery timelines, scope and resource requirements in line with market or business changes. Inform and coordinate internal and external DEI-related reporting and disclosures, and provide further recommendations based on the data. Oversee activity with ICG's DEI Champions group and employee networks. Grow relationships with external DEI partners and other DEI best practice organisations. Manage DEI governance requirements, including content for DEI Champions, ExCo and Board meetings. Manage the DEI budget. Be a trusted ambassador and role model for DEI across ICG and in our industry.

Key Requirements/ Qualifications

You will have demonstrable experience of:

Essential

Developing and implementing DEI strategies across markets. Strong awareness of DEI issues, opportunities and structural barriers for people from different backgrounds and in different markets. A data-driven and evidence-based approach to driving DEI progress and measuring results. Good working knowledge of enterprise HR systems like Workday and evolving DEI data capture and reporting considerations. Change management and business transformation skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, engage with governance forums, and build effective working relationships through positive engagement with key stakeholders and delivery of high-quality work on a timely basis. Identifying and influencing internal and external stakeholders to drive change and learn from/share research, evidence and experiences. Addressing issues and opportunities around DEI-related legislation, regulation and reporting in the UK and other markets. Working with employee networks to enhance their impact in alignment with DEI strategies. Coaching senior leaders, network leaders, policy or process owners at different levels to build their DEI understanding and capability to change. Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills and good working knowledge of MS Office . Budget management skills.

Desirable

Financial services background, particularly in private equity/alternative investments . Other related subject matter expertise such as employment law, sustainability, data analytics, communications, public speaking, facilitation or event management experience. A good network across DEI practitioners and key organisations for awareness of best practices and market activity.
