Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has opened up within the Public Health Nursing Service. We are in search of an enthusiastic and organised individual with great attention to detail. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, be adaptable in their approach, and proficient in working both independently and collaboratively within a team. The role entails handling calls and utilizing Office 365 applications.

Duties will involve scheduling all Healthy Child Wales clinics to maximize clinic utilization. The candidate will also conduct weekly data validation checks, manage the Public Health Nursing Single Point of Access line, and log all calls and referrals on the Public Health Nursing call system using Health Board systems.

The individual must have experience in data input and communicating with various levels of the organization. They will play a significant role in the team and have opportunities for professional development within the position.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Respond to telephone inquiries received via the Single Point of Access line, interacting with patients, relatives, the public, and other departments sensitively and tactfully.
  • Ensure accurate data input onto the Single Point of Access system/MS Bookings/Child Health System within specified timelines.
  • Support in coordinating/scheduling clinics across the Health Visiting Service, maximizing capacity using MS Bookings.

Being able to speak Welsh is advantageous for this role, though Welsh and/or English speakers are equally encouraged to apply.

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent
  • Experience and training to Vocational Level 3 or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of MS Office & Keyboard skills
