As a Band 5 RMN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, person-centered care to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient.

Key duties and responsibilities of a Band 5 RMN include:

  • Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the needs and risks of patients
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring their effectiveness and managing any potential side effects
  • Providing emotional support and therapeutic interventions to patients, promoting their recovery and wellbeing
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care delivery
  • Participating in ward rounds, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of services
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, including safeguarding and confidentiality guidelines
  • Maintaining accurate and uptodate documentation, including patient records and incident reports
  • Supporting and educating the patient's family and carers, providing them with information and guidance on how to best support their loved one's mental health needs
  • Adhering to professional codes of conduct and standards, upholding the values and ethics of nursing practice


As a temporary Band 5 RMN, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who are able to build therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.

You should have a non-judgmental and empathetic approach, demonstrating respect for diversity and cultural differences.


To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC pin.

Previous experience in a mental health setting is desirable, but newly qualified RMNs are also welcome to apply.

This position is for a temporary contract, starting on 22/02/2024 and ending on 23/02/2024. The shift timings are from 19:30:00 to 08:00:00, and the payment rate is £312.50 per shift. Payments will be made through an umbrella company.
