We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Casual/Sessional and Voluntary Workers to join our team for the upcoming Young People Summer and Half-Term Clubs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in our community while gaining valuable experience in youth work.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, organization, and delivery of engaging activities and workshops for young people during the summer and half-term clubs.
  • Supervise and support young people in a safe and inclusive environment, ensuring their well-being and promoting positive behaviour.
  • Encourage participation and involvement in a range of activities, including sports, arts and crafts, team-building exercises, and educational workshops.
  • Foster positive relationships with young people, providing guidance, support, and mentoring when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the clubs and the safety of all participants.
  • Help set up and pack down equipment and resources for activities, ensuring that the club spaces are clean and organized.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and guidelines at all times and report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate person.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people in a youth club, school, or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Passion for working with young people and supporting their personal and social development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build positive relationships with young people.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and guidelines.
  • An understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of young people.
  • Availability to work during the summer and half-term periods.
This is a casual position, with flexible hours available based on the needs of the clubs.
